Masonic Lodges in Enniskillen date back to 19th June
1733, when Warrant No. 17 was issued. There are currently 12 Lodges
working in Co. Fermanagh, 6 of which are in Enniskillen. In the Province of
Tyrone & Fermanagh there are currently 41 Lodges working. Click on the Lodge

Masonic Lodges have members from all walks of life, it
would be wrong to say that they are closed to anyone, however there are some
Lodges set up with more exclusive membership. It doesn't exclude visitors
just membership. In Enniskillen Portora 859 would be an example, its members
being made up of ex - pupils of Portora Royal School, the first Lodge
Warranted for Old Boys by Grand Lodge.
There are also around the world Military Lodges, some
exclusive to Regiments and some for Officers only, the same applies to
Police forces etc. Although there are no police or military Lodges in
Fermanagh at the moment in the past there have been numerous military Lodges
associated with Co. Fermanagh.
From the Fermanagh Militia, formed around Masonic
Lodge 864, which then became part of the Inniskilling Fusiliers. To the
Oldest travelling Lodge in the World. That of the Royal Dragoon Guards,
St. Patrick's 295 (partially formed by the Inniskilling Dragoons).
